The Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB), H.E. Jamal Abdulaziz Al-Alawi, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP), Dr. Abdullah Yousef Talib to discuss strengthening the collaboration and partnership between both entities.

 

Al-Alawi stressed the importance of encouraging suppliers, contractors, and engineering firms to participate in government tenders and achieve the highest levels of competitiveness. He also confirmed that this would contribute to BTB goals by improving the government procurement system.

 

His Excellency praised the role of the CRPEP in licensing engineering firms, ensuring the quality of performance in executing the contracts, which reflects positively on advancing the engineering sector and supporting development plans that contributes to strengthening the role of the private sector. Al-Alawi also noted that this will provide a driving force for the growth and development of the infrastructure services in the Kingdom.

 

Dr. Talib expressed his appreciation to BTB for its continuous support through its various programs, which aims to achieve its goals and objectives. He also praised the cooperation between both parties to develop and accelerate the BTB’s process to ensure the execution of the government projects as planned.
