His Excellency Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Tender Board, affirmed that Bahrain National Sports Day is an annual event dedicated to raising community awareness regarding the importance of integrating sports into daily life. He noted its role in promoting public health, fostering a culture of physical activity, and supporting values of cooperation and positive interaction within society.

This statement was made during his participation in the Sports Day activities organised by the Tender Board for its employees in the Bahrain Bay area, in implementation of the Cabinet's decision to designate Thursday, 12 February as a half-day for all ministries and government agencies. This allows employees to partake in sports activities, reinforcing a culture of sports and encouraging employees to engage in physical activities while embedding the concept of athletics as a core value.

The Secretary General stated that the Board's participation reflects its commitment to promoting sports as a healthy lifestyle among its staff, recognising its benefits in enhancing health, increasing productivity, and strengthening professional bonds. This contributes to creating a positive and motivating work environment.

The event witnessed active participation from members of the Tender Board, who took part in a range of athletic, recreational, and awareness-raising activities aimed at establishing sports as daily practice and encouraging the community to adopt a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
