Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board, participated in the annual conference of the European Society for Quality Research held in Vienna, Austria. The conference brought together over 100 experts, decision-makers, and representatives from the public and private sectors worldwide.
In his opening address, Al Alawi emphasized the Bahrain Tender Board's unwavering commitment to promoting quality and excellence in all government procurement processes. He highlighted the Board's focus over the past two years on streamlining procedures and achieving the highest levels of governance.
This, he explained, supports the principles of fairness, equal opportunities, and competitiveness, ensuring optimal results for all stakeholders.
Moreover, Al Alawi clarified the Bahrain Tender Board's role as an independent regulatory body overseeing government purchases and sales. It manages tenders and auctions for ministries and government companies, collaborating with suppliers and contractors globally.
These efforts, he stressed, align with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, aiming to enhance quality and efficiency.
Concluding his address, Al Alawi reaffirmed the Board's dedication to continuous improvement and development. The goal, he stated, is to further solidify transparency, fairness, and integrity in government procurement, safeguarding public funds and ensuring efficiency and quality in all government projects.
