His Excellency Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Tender Board, affirmed that Bahraini Engineers' Day is a national milestone celebrating the contributions of Bahrain’s engineering talent, recognising their distinguished contributions to the advancement of development and progress in various vital sectors in the Kingdom.

 

This came during his meeting with a group of engineers working at the Board. He praised their endeavours and essential role in supporting the government procurement system, elaborating that engineers form a fundamental pillar of the Board’s success, representing 37.2% of its total national workforce. This statistic underscores the strategic position of engineering staff across various departments and divisions.

 

Al Alawi noted that the Board prioritises the empowerment of these national talents while strengthening their presence, which bolsters principles of transparency, governance, and sustainability. The achievements of Bahraini engineers in fields of infrastructure, energy, communications, and major development projects reflect their high competence and ability to keep pace with the latest global engineering and technological advancements.

 

Concluding the meeting, Al Alawi expressed pride in all Bahraini engineers, commending their efforts and qualitative contributions toward the nation’s progress. He asserted that their pivotal role would remain a cornerstone in shaping a promising future for the country.
