His Excellency Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Tender Board, affirmed that Bahraini Women's Day serves as an opportunity to highlight women's vital contributions to the nation's development under the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Alawi also commended the relentless efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, whose dedication continues to elevate the status of women by transforming the Council’s strategic plans into tangible outcomes, positively impacting various sectors of national development.
He stated that Bahraini women exemplify competence, excellence, and dedication, making significant contributions across public and private sectors while enhancing institutional performance. He stressed the Board’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower women by providing a supportive work environment, promoting equal opportunities, and enabling their participation in leadership and supervisory roles as well as decision-making processes.
Al Alawi noted that the Tender Board team includes some of Bahrain’s finest female professionals, working collectively to advance national development. He indicated that women constitute 45% of the Board’s total workforce.
The Secretary General also honoured the female members of the Board on this occasion, in recognition of their various endeavours, and appreciation of Bahraini women’s pioneering role as true partners in the nation's progress.
