Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board, participated in this year's Tree Week, demonstrating strong support for the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Action Plan aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

This initiative aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the launch of Tree Week by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Tree Week is celebrated annually during the third week of October.

During the event, Eng. Al Alawi, along with several officials and employees, planted multiple trees. Tree Week is designed to enhance the Kingdom's afforestation efforts, with an ambitious target to double the tree count to 3.6 million by 2035.

This goal aligns with Bahrain's commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The initiative highlights Bahrain's dedication to environmental sustainability and its ongoing efforts to mitigating climate change.
