As part of its ongoing efforts to promote transparency and fair competition, and to reaffirm its pivotal role in regulating government procurement and sales, the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB) will hold a virtual workshop on “Suppliers’ and Contractors’ Rights” on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
The workshop aims to enhance institutional awareness among suppliers and contractors about the legal and regulatory framework governing government tendering processes, while highlighting their rights and mechanisms that ensure fairness and transparency throughout all stages. It also seeks to empower participants with a deeper understanding of established procedures and standards, thereby improving the quality of participation and submissions.
This initiative forms part of a broader series of awareness workshops launched by BTB targeting suppliers and contractors, with the goal of increasing their understanding of various aspects of government tenders and auctions, ultimately leading to more competitive and higher-quality submissions.
On this occasion, Eng. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of the Bahrain Tender Board, highlighted the importance of suppliers’ and contractors’ participation in such workshops, describing them as an opportunity for awareness-raising, interaction, and addressing queries. He emphasised BTB’s commitment to direct engagement with private sector partners and explained that the workshop would focus on key issues of concern to ensure smooth tendering procedures in accordance with the highest standards.
He further noted the significance of strengthening active partnerships with the private sector, pointing out that such workshops serve as vital tools in building sustainable mutual understanding among all parties, supporting national objectives, and enhancing the efficiency of government spending. They also ensure the highest levels of transparency, integrity, competitiveness, and equal opportunities throughout all stages of government procurement.
BTB invited all interested suppliers and contractors to register for participation via the official website www.tenderboard.gov.bh
