His Excellency Mr. Yaser bin Ebrahim Humaidan, Chairman of Tenders Board (BTB), has recently received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate in quality management, which the Board obtained after meeting all the necessary requirements and applying the standards required to obtain this international certificate.
On this occasion, Mr. Humaidan commended the efforts made by His Excellency Eng. Jamal bin Abdulaziz Al Alawi, Secretary General of BTB, and the Secretariat's employees in documenting all the Board's services, preparing the necessary maps, determining completion periods, and providing the requirements to obtain the quality certificate.
Furthermore, the Chairman emphasized the Board's commitment to following a clear strategic plan to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and quality in the tendering processes for government purchases and sales, line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and government directives.
Additionally, Mr. Humaidan stressed that obtaining this esteemed international certificate comes as a coronation of the continuous efforts that BTB has made to enhance its work systems, and it serves as a confirmation of its adherence to the standards in government tendering, procurement, and sales operations. Confirming that achieving this certificate is the outcome of the hard and teamwork (Team Bahrain), with all Secretariat's members being dedicated and diligent to attain this accomplishment.
From his part, Eng. Al Alawi stated that this achievement is the result of the support and assistance provided by BTB, headed by His Excellency Mr. Humaidan, and its members, underlining the endless support received by the General Secretariat during the past period, which had a clear imprint on improving and developing the services provided to the partners, including the purchasing authorities, suppliers, and contractors, and to ensure the preservation of national achievements.
H.E. Eng. Al Alawi added that the Board will continue to enhance its services and procedures to provide the best services, in line with the best international practices in the government procurement sector.
