Pre-qualification of Power Transformers & Reactors Suppliers for all Voltage and Capacity Levels for the Incoming Electricity Transmission Projects.
Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Kingdom of Bahrain announces the commencement of a pre-qualification process of suppliers of Power Transformers & Reactors of all voltage and capacity levels within EWA Electricity Networks who will subsequently be allowed to participate later for any of the competitive International Tenders for the incoming electricity transmission projects of the Electricity and Water Authority and private developers.
Interested local and international suppliers, who are eligible and have experience in undertaking similar projects, are kindly requested to purchase the Pre-qualification Document (“PQD”) online through the e-tendering portal http://www.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from the date of this advertisement.

- All tenders / auctions / pre-qualification Invitations are in compliance with the Government Tendering & Purchasing Regulations issued in Decrees Nos. (36) & (37) of 2002 and its executive regulations and Decision No. (1) for 2020 concerning the prequalification of suppliers and contractors
- All public tenders / Pre-qualification Invitations are published on the Tender Board website: http://www.tenderboard.gov.bh.
The Applicant has to comply with the requirement of each of the above-mentioned Eligibility requirement to qualify for the subsequent RFP stage

1 | The Applicant’sproposed manufacturing facility must have: a. a minimum of ten (10) years’experience in manufacturing and supply of the same type of equipment (samevoltage level as Applicant intends to prequalify). b. a minimum of five (5) units of the sametype (same voltage level as Applicant intends to prequalify) supplied duringthe past three (3) years. Certificates of successful completion from therespective clients to be provided. Certificate dates shall be within threeyears from the PQ Closing Date. c. supplied a minimum one (1) unit of thesame type (same voltage level as Applicant intends to prequalify) to GCCRegion during the past five (5) years. Certificates of successful completionfrom the respective GCC clients to be provided. |
2 | Inspectionof the Applicant’s premises shall be carried out by EWA / Consultant toverify the submitted documents and compliance, if required. |

تعلن هيئة الكهرباء والماء بمملكة البحرين عن بدء عملية التأهيل المسبق لموردي محولات الطاقة والمفاعلات لجميع مستويات الجهد والقدرة وذلك للمشاركة لاحقًا في أي من المناقصات الدولية التنافسية لمشاريع نقل الكهرباء المستقبلية سواء لهيئة الكهرباء والماء أوالمطورين من القطاع الخاص.
