Tender Description

The company, Bapco Upstream aims to lay 2 x 24inch pipelines of regasified liquid natural gas (RLNG) between Alba Gas Station Jump Over to Al Dur Distribution Point (DDP) including two new stations Askar Valve Station (AVS) and Hafeera Valve Station (HVS). For the execution of Instrumentation works, it is required to procure the 24inch Shutdown Valves as per project specification attached along with this tender package. The proposed 24inch Shutdown Valves are required for (Alba Gas Station Jump Over, Askar Valve Station, Hafeera Valve Station, Al Dur Distribution Point). As part of phase 1B scope, Bapco upstream will be installing above ground 2 x 24inch pipelines from Alba Gas Station Jump Over to Askar Valve Station. In addition to the pipeline, a new intermediate valve station, Askar Valve station will be constructed as part of phase 1B scope. Bidder must meet the below mandatory criteria to be evaluated further:

  1. Bidder complies with datasheets for the shutdown valve.
  2. Proposed Manufacturer for Ball Valve is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  3. Proposed Manufacturer for Pneumatic Actuator is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  4. Proposed Manufacturer for Partial Stroke Test Positioner is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  5. Proposed Manufacturer for Limit Switch is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  6. Proposed Manufacturer for Solenoid Valve is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors Lis.
  7. Proposed Manufacturer for Filter Regulator is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  8. Proposed Manufacturer for Position Transmitter is from Bapco Upstream’s Approved Vendors List.
  9. Bidder has confirmed complaince to 3.2 certification for Pressure retaining parts and 2.2 certification for Non-Pressure retaining parts as required by COMPANY.
  10. All costs related for the Witnessing & Testing by BU or TPI is considered in the Base price and NOT in the Optional price.
  11. Commissioning Spare parts and Special tools (if any) for Valve-Actuator Operation is considered in the Base Price and NOT in the Optional price.
  12. Delivery Condition - DDP Bahrain (Bapco Upstream Stores).
Bidder shall clearly mention in the proposed offer compliance with the above mandatory requirement.

How to Participate?

  • Those who are capable and wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://etendering.tenderboard.gov.bh starting from Thursday, 13 June 2024
  • Bidders are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above or at the rate of 1% of the tender value whichever amount is lesser, provided that no initial bonds value shall be less than BD 100/-. (Except for the Two-envelope tenders).
  • For Two-envelope tenders, bidders, are requested to enclose with their bids the Initial Bond for the amount specified above.
  • The initial bond should be in the form of a Certified Cheque, Bank Guarantee, Insurance Policy or Cash (or as specified in the Tender Documents) valid for the duration specified above.
  • The bids deposit place: (As Mentioned in the Tender Documents)
  • This tender is subject to the provisions of the Tender Law issued by the Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2002, its amendments, and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Decree No. 37 of 2002.
  • In addition, these conditions have to be considered:
    • Enclose copy of a valid Commercial Registration Certificate (CR) in line with the tender's subject.
    • Enclose copy of a valid certificate of compliance with the employment percentages for Bahraini manpower (Bahranization Certificate) issued by the Ministry of Labour.
  • This advertisement is considered supplementary to the tender documents. In case of any discrepancy between the Advertisement and the Tender Document, the Tender Document prevails.
  • Micro, small and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain 10% preference in the financial evaluation stage, when submitting the "SMEs Classification Certificate" during bidding for this tender.
